I write to understand first. And when I feel what I understood was ridiculously simple, I convey.

Who am I?

I am Dhruvil, a Data Scientist working/have worked on problems in NLP, Recommendation Systems, Document Understanding since 2019.

I studied chemical engineering at IIT Guwahati, India from 2015-19. Currently, I am working at ShareChat.

Why do I write?

A couple of reasons. Writing is a judge of how well have I understood something. Not the audience, but the process of writing itself. In addition, writing is a motivation for me to put my curiosity at work.

What do I write about?

At the moment, I am interested in writing about mathematical concepts. Especially the ones that we use daily but never seem to know how it works, autograd for example.

I am moving away from writing straightforward stuff like Build your text classifier in PyTorch or NumPy for beginners. I don’t think anyone needs to write more 101 blogs.
